Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do I have to make an appointment to
see a doctor
A: We try hard to treat every one with respect and do not like having
you line up for hours hoping to be seen like some business do.
Appointments allow us to take the time to treat you fully not rushing to
see a cue of people waiting outside.
Q: What happens if it is urgent
A: Please tell us if you have an urgent medical need. One of our biggest
concerns is not being able to treat you when you need to be seen. If you
really think it is urgent calling 000 for an ambulance might be the best
option.
Q: How much does it cost to see a doctor
A: We are proudly a privately billing practice. We bill this way to
enable us to work more slowly to provide more time with you. We know
price is a issue for everyone, for this reason we bulk bill pensioners
and children and many commonwealth concession card holders. We also have
several methods of helping you get your Medicare refund back from the
Government. We do not bulk bill on Saturdays
Q: Why did my doctor send me a letter asking
me to make an appointment
A: Reminders occur for lots of reasons, blood tests, immunisations,
Blood pressure checks, following up test or reports that have arrived
for you just to name a few. We ask you to come back to discus the
reasons please, we know your busy but we would like you to take your
health as seriously as we do.
